Who this is built for
The ranch starting from scratch
You have the acreage and the fence. What you do not have is a herd worth hunting, and buying enough quality stock outright is a big check and a sourcing problem.
The operation on the buying treadmill
You buy stocker bucks every year. They get hunted, the genetics leave with them, and next season you write the same check again. Nothing compounds.
How it works
You buy does in pens of twelve — twelve is what a breeding pen holds. They stay here and are bred to the sire you choose. Each spring they fawn, and the following March that whole crop is tagged, tested, permitted and hauled to your ranch.
Each doe runs a five-year cycle. After her fifth fawn crop she is released onto your pasture too, alongside that year’s fawns. That keeps our breeding herd young and productive, caps how long any animal spends in a pen, and puts a proven doe on your ground instead of in a cull pen.
You can also leave doe fawns here to be bred rather than taking them home. They are already your animals, so there is no second purchase price — boarding simply continues. Retain roughly one doe fawn in four and your herd holds its size indefinitely. Retain more and it grows, as far as our pen space allows.
It starts with a conversation about your property and your goals, followed by a written proposal. One condition holds: only Crown Point Whitetails deer are allowed in the program. We are not willing to put our herd health at risk by mixing in animals whose history we do not control.
One requirement on your end: your property has to be a registered release site with TPWD. Texas will not register one unless the perimeter fence, the habitat and the testing obligations are already satisfied, so if you hold one you have met them. Why not just buy deer
Two things you cannot buy any other way.
Half of every crop is female. A stocker buck is one season of value. He gets harvested and his genetics leave the ranch with him, and he never produces a single doe. Roughly half of every fawn crop out of this program is female, and those does breed on your ground for a decade. Their daughters breed there after them. That is the part a buck purchase can never give you.
You know what you actually got. Buy does and turn them out and it looks cheaper on the invoice. What it costs you is control and information. A doe on native range breeds to whatever buck reaches her first, so the fawn has no pedigree on the sire’s side. Fawning happens in open pasture with predators, weather and nobody watching, so you find out what survived months later, if at all. No count, no sex ratio, no identification. A herd you cannot measure is a herd you cannot manage — and every one of those risks is yours, every season.
This program hands you the benefit of being a deer breeder without you becoming one.
What you are breeding to
Our herd bucks average over 200 inches at two years old.
Measured on our nutrition program, on our records, and available to you on request. What an animal expresses on your ground still depends on your habitat, water, cover and harvest management — none of which we control. What the program gives you is access to the genetic base.

Where your deer are kept
Proper pens, and a working facility on site.
This is the fair question about any boarding arrangement: you are handing over animals worth tens of thousands of dollars and trusting somebody else to keep them alive and breeding. So here is the honest answer.
Your deer live in our pens, the same way ours do — outside, on the ground, in the same conditions they will be in when they get to your ranch. What separates us is what happens when an animal needs handling. AI, health work, and anything else that requires putting hands on a deer is done in a purpose-built, climate-controlled facility a short walk away. Most boarding operations do not have that, and it is the difference between a routine procedure and a stressful one.

A worked example
One pen of twelve does, on the wind-down path — nothing retained. Your actual proposal is built around your property, but this shows the shape of it.
Year 1 · Placement
You buy 12 does — one pen. Boarding begins.
Year 1 · October to November
All 12 bred to the sire of your choice — a buck you bought, a Crown Point sire you leased, or AI.
Year 2 · May to June
Fawns hit the ground. Roughly 20 head, about half of them bucks. You get the count and the sex ratio in writing.
Year 3 · March — First delivery
That crop is tagged, CWD tested, permitted and hauled to your ranch. Your does stay here and are bred again.
Every March after that
Another crop goes onto your place. Same twelve does, another twenty head, year after year.
After the fifth crop — Your does come home
All 12 does are released onto your pasture with that year’s fawns. Across the five years that is roughly 114 head of your own genetics on your ground — about half of them female, and every one of them documented.
What it costs
The does
$5,000 per doe, sold in pens of twelve. That includes your program entry — it is not our catalog doe price.
Boarding
$125 per head, per month. Does year round, fawns from 1 June to their March release. Feed, care and management included.
Release & compliance
$250 per head released. Tagging to TPWD specification, ante-mortem CWD testing, and transfer permit paperwork.
Breeding
Buy a breeder buck to hold in your pen, lease a Crown Point sire for the season, or AI. Priced to the animal or to the straws you pick.
Retained doe fawns
No fee. They are already your animals. Boarding simply continues at the standard rate.
Delivery
$3 per loaded mile, free over $25,000, in our blacked-out air-conditioned trailer.
